Audi SQ6 e-tron –  will mainly focus on the user interface and audio system of the luxury SUV. This reveals what the 2025 SQ6 e-tron (and the more modest Q6 e-tron) will look like. Audi has long had modern and sophisticated interiors, so this is not a substantial change for the brand. Fortunately, the SQ6’s interior is one of its strong points.

The Q6 and SQ6 mark the beginning of a new chapter in Audi’s electric vehicle history. They are also the first models to adopt the Advanced Platform Electric (PPE), which offers the Volkswagen Group’s new Android Auto-based infotainment system. The smaller Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron are electric replacements for the gasoline-engine Audi Q5 and SQ5. The Q6 is the more powerful European model than the US-market one. So we’ll focus on the sportier SQ6.

Audi SQ6 e-tron Inside Out

Audi’s latest interior concept strikes the perfect balance between form and function. The SQ6 features stitched interior upholstery. High-contrast red and LED lights running across the dashboard send signals like turn signals and navigation commands; and charging status. The overall presentation is clean and stylish. The 14.5-inch central display has a pad-like weak spot that supports your hand when in use. There’s also an 11.9-inch dashboard display and a 10.9-inch passenger display that can play videos. But the driver can’t see that the vehicle is moving. The new system is information-rich and offers a variety of features. It goes beyond Audi’s current infotainment system, from climate control to vehicle systems. But it’s easy to learn and work even when traveling to unfamiliar places.

The state-of-the-art display with new AI voice assistant, augmented reality navigation system, and a 20-speaker, 830-watt Bang & Olufsen sound system (two at each front door) helped me adapt to the environment. Most of the limited secondary controls are capacitive touch controls on the piano black panel. But you won’t be bothered by awkward ergonomics or a quiet room. The SQ6’s sport seats were in contact with the floor behind me for hours. The SUV’s headroom is less than the SQ5’s at 37.4 inches, but my builder sat 6 feet back comfortably.

Everything is wrapped in the same soft, traditional steel as the Q6. The famous fenders give the sides a nice shape, giving the SUV a great look. But those looking for something more exciting will have to wait for the improved Sportback model, which follows the SUV later this year, and the more powerful RS model. The design is highlighted by lighting elements such as the new high-resolution OLED headlights. Unfortunately, the advanced Matrix LED headlight feature (standard on the SQ6 or optional on the Q6) is not available in the US.

Polished Performance

All Q6 models will initially be available in both dual-motor and all-wheel-drive versions, with the SQ6 rated at 483 and 510 horsepower with clutch control (the dual-motor Q6 in the U.S. is rated at 422 and 456 horsepower, respectively, won by Audi). Though total horsepower won’t be released, the SQ6 is expected to produce more than 500 pound-feet of torque, propelling the roughly 5,500-pound sports car to 60 mph in under four seconds.

There are several aspects that differentiate the Q6 from the Macan EV. The Audi doesn’t have the same rear stability as the Porsche. Rear-wheel drive is a slightly different package. The SQ6 uses a slimmer front AC induction motor instead of the Macan’s permanent magnet unit and, judging by the clinical satisfaction of the operation, it feels stripped down. In slow motion and drag racing, the SQ6 is extremely refined, easy to walk around, and will take you out of tight corners at high speed. It boasts confident handling, nimble body control, 21-inch wheels and optional summer tires (20-inch rubber are standard), rigid linear support and a confident ride. Progressive brake pedal feel. Both allowed me to drive along a narrow, rain-soaked gravel road.

Turning on Dynamáinem tilá improves the SQ6’s response and produces the sound you want in a Space Shuttle EV. The optional voice recorder can be disabled. Fixed air spring and damper. (Optional for Q6) Absorbs unabsorbed waves. Líšastůvťä průvátů šttyť controls the paddle shifters that require regenerative braking. This is a single-pedal mode that reduces the SQ6’s braking force by just 0.25 g. With fewer settings, you can edit to your heart’s content. I usually leave it in the car. This is why a car is considered smart if it needs to navigate based on the navigation system and external elements.

Charging and Pricing

The Q6 e-tron has a 94.4 kilowatt-hour battery, while the Audi SQ6 U.S. The EPA estimates the range to be 276 miles (about 300 in the Q6), but the big selling point of the brand’s electric SUV is the 800-volt electrical system. DC fast charging with a power of up to 270 kW is a joy in ideal conditions: the Audi can be charged for a range of up to 270 km in about 10 minutes. At the 400 volt terminals, the PPE brain was trying to split the battery into two parts. You can charge them both at the same time at up to 135 kilowatts, reducing overall charging time. When charging with AC Level 2, a 9.6 kW on-board charger comes standard. The company’s 19.2-kilowatt unit will be added later. Many practical features include dual doors (driver and passenger side AC/DC combo power outlets), 4,400 gallons of storage space and 30 cubic feet of storage space.

While the SQ6 is a purposeful model, the new Q6 e-tron exudes swagger and unbridled audacity. Look at the end result. It is the most successful vehicle in the best-selling Audi Jeep family. It should satisfy different tastes. Some may overlook the $70,000 base price, which represents a big jump from the Q6’s roughly $66,000 and SQ5’s $58,895 starting price, given the nicer PPE rear suspension and quicker transmission.
